2009 and Trying it Again

Now let's see how long I can keep this up this time. . is it 1 day. . .a couple of months.. . longer. . . hmm stay tuned! Since the last posting, we took a family vacation to England and Ireland in October 08 and this year we went to Flordia, Maya was a flower girl for the first time in Arizona and we took a trip to Michigan to move my Mom to Colorado. She is currently living with us until she finds an apartment. Maya is loving having her "Grandma Anna" here, yes that is correct if I mention Grandma to Maya, she is the first to correct me that it is Grandma Anna! Random pics are below.

Maya has grown so fast, sometimes I look at her and I am amazed that I had a part in making this little person. Our "big" plans for today include taking Maya to an event at the Zoo called Zoomily! It is for kids where they tell stories and have Zoo people dress up in character storybooks. So the kids can dress up too. Maya loves to dress up - everyday she puts on her skirt, "glass slippers", beaded necklaces and wants to dance around - it is her official gypsy dance outfit so she will be dressing up as a fairy tonight - can't wait to see her expression when she realizes that not only is she at the zoo but she is also in a magical little world!

Well I will keep it short for now so I can save some energy to post stuff after ZOOmily!
Above, in Wales and the next picture is in Ireland at the Guiness Factory.

Picture on the left is from the coast of Ireland, then the next picture is in Flordia.

Finally, our little flower girl Maya.

Lots of time has gone by

Okay so I let this go again. . . It is now June of 2008 where did the time go. Maya is getting huge her latest 1st is she peed her bed for the first time. I put her in a little nightgown and she managed to take off her diaper in the middle of the night so she slept all night without a diaper and just went! Guess we will have to keep shorts on her. She likes to run back and forth as fast as she can and she loves to dance. If you say "Dance Maya" she will start bending her legs and jerking her body in a dance induced state! I love it. . .plus she has a love for Fragel Rock. . .she has these little stuffed animals of them and when she picks them up she starts to move them around and trys to sing the theme song. Somehow the little baby is now a little girl that carries around a baby doll and her little cats and tries to feed them food or water. It is all new and we love it she is so much fun right now. Anyways all is going well and will try to do short little posts like this so I do it more often. These pics are from our latest weekend trip up to Glenwood Springs over by Aspen. It was a fun little road trip!
Here is a pic riding on a lift going up into the mountains for a little adventure park.
And here is a pic from the roadside where we stopped to take some pictures since it was such a beautiful day.

Where does the time go. . .

I can't believe it has been so long since I have updated this. So MUCH has happened since December of 06. . the big thing of course all of you know already Maya was born on March 22, 2007. She is now 22 weeks old and is the light of our lives, she is just wonderful! I have been back to work now for about 2 months and it seems like every day just speeds past me. Maya is doing great, we have a shared Nanny with some friends that had a baby 2 days after we had Maya so she gets to spend all day with her little friend Basha. Maya loves it plus it is good to have her either at our house or our friends house. We are both keeping busy with working and then coming home and spending time with Maya. Al just finished painting the house so the BIG project for the summer is done. . . HOORAY!

Here are a couple of recent pictures of Al and I in the mountains in July, Al and Maya in our backyard playing, Maya having fun and Maya and I at her first time swimming.

Christmas Eve

28 weeks 2 days

Today marks Christmas Eve Day and we are spending a quiet Christmas at home after the ol Blizzard of 2006. Wednesday morning there was a little snow outside but you could still see the grass but sure enough all the schools were cancelled so Al had a snow day and I worked at home as the morning went on it got worse- the wind was really strong, so snow was just blowing all over. On Thursday we had tons of snow and it was still snowing. So another day at home. . .and this is when these pictures were taken. I put on my ski pants and jacket and couldn't zip up either one since my belly is so big so if you look closely you will see my jacket not zipped up all the way! Oh well I didn't stay out for too long. All I wanted to do was to fall backwards into the snow and make a snow angel. . but not this time:) I don't think the little heartbeat would like that too much. So we ventured out to the circle mall on Friday so we can walk around a little and the roads and traffic were crazy- seems like everyone else had the same idea. Yesterday we just went to the grocery store and cars were still getting stuck in the snow.

So today and tomorrow we are staying in pretty much all day that is if we don't go stir crazy!! Next week we both have off so it is filled with Dr appointments and hopefully we will do a hospital tour too. Today we are going to cook a ham for the first time- yes we have made it this far without having to cook a ham! So it will be fun today!!

Overall I have been feeling pretty good compared to the fact that I am growing a small human being inside me. I am uncomfortable sometimes but I guess it could be worse. For Christmas Al got me time with a pregnancy massage thearpist (hooray!)-which is one of the most wonderful gifts for a pregnant lady (keep that in mind guys)! So we are doing that next week too- Al is coming so she can show him stuff to do to help make me a little more comfortable. Right now my belly is HUGE! This was taken a couple of weeks ago and I am way more bigger now. We will take more either today or tomorrow so you can see it- strange huh. One thing I have noticed is whenever Al is talking to my belly our girl cat Anne decides she needs attention right then and comes in and meows and rubs against our legs. . . so it begins! And Friday also marked my 3rd trimester part-which means March is slowly creeping up on us- can't wait!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and you are all nice and cozy.

After Thanksgiving

24 weeks 0 days

So yesterday we spent Thanksgiving with friends (here is a pic of us before we left our house) and today we spent it putting up our tree and listening to Christmas music. It is actually the first year for our cats with our tree up. When we were living in NYC, our apartment was way too small to put out our big tree. So far so good - they sat and watched us intently while we put everything up. I think they like it too especially when we wrap up cat-nip toys for them under the tree. Wonder how long it will take them to tear into it!

We did have another ultrasound on Wednesday and all looks good still and they even confirmed again that it was indeed a girl- she was opening up her mouth and sticking out her tongue- it was so cute to see her look like a little person on the screen. Crazy!

Work is busy as ever, I helped out with a new biz pitch which took up lots of nights - now that we submitted everything it is in ful force for our Thanksmas party on Friday, 12/1. We have lots to do for decorations so this next week should be interesting to say the least. This weekend we are going to Ryan & Melissa's for another Thanksgiving dinner- we get to see Mason - yaaahh!

The other picture on here is one of me by myself - a side view so you can see my basketball that I am growing- aren't I HUGE!!! It is strange seems like everyday I get bigger and bigger. And she is moving ALOT which is a very different feeling, Al can even feel her. Not sure if she is kicking, punching or what. I know I can't wait to meet her. Also no idea on names yet- we probably won't nail it down for sure until we actually see her face and then I hope that we will know what she should be called. If not I guess her name will be X - hee hee.

A girl. . . .

21 weeks 1 day

We had our ultrasound on Thursday morning and found out we will be having a girl! We were a little thrown off because we thought for sure it would be a boy- I mean we tried the needle test and sure enough we were postitive it was to be a boy but we are very excited about a girl too! This is an ultrasound of it's face and hands - one of my favorites of all of them. We even got one of it's little leg and foot. Al actually got to feel it do something last night- not sure if it was a foot or elbow or what but it suddenly thumped. Pretty CRAZY!

Today I went shopping at a Maternity sale that they only have once in a while. Me and a friend who are 10 days apart went and found lots of good stuff for cheap. Al and I also tried to register today- boy was that funny. . get one of those scanner things in Al's hands and he thinks he is Capt. Kirk! We realized we still have to figure out a lot of stuff so it isn't a very big list right now but a good starter.

Boy is this going to be a fun adventure having a little one:)
